Critical Role:
Enhanced (2016)

I was tasked with creating an Enhanced version of the broadcast of immensely popular Dungeons and Dragons live stream, Critical Role. Legendary wanted it to air in real time on their new O&O SVOD, Alpha, while maintaining the regular version on Twitch. This was a unique challenge, to stream two separate offerings simultaneously. I worked with Matt Mercer to identify what he wanted in an enhanced overlay, and also considered that it provided value to the audience, worthy of their subscription fee.
Instead of typical graphic overlays, I commissioned Support Class to develop a cloud based animation engine utilizing node.cg that could in real time generate graphics that displayed Hit Points, combat animations, status effects, and other info so that viewers could track the gameplay mechanics easier. Roughly ⅓ of the existing Critical Role viewership seemed to like it, as we saw a week one migration of viewership to the broadcast on Alpha, and Critical Roles existing growth rate on Twitch maintained for the entirety of Alpha’s existence.
Arena (2018)

At Mammoth Media, we launched a Daily Live trivia app to compete head to head with HQ Trivia. I, as Head of Content Production at Mammoth, worked alongside our VP of Product to to Creatively Develop the app, and I worked with our UI/UX team to create the best marriage of content and game.
We were the first Trivia App to allow for in app purchases for real cash prizes, and I led casting, crewing, hired our writers room, and building our stage from scratch. In the end, we did a total of over 1200 unique episodes. We partnered with brands like Warner Brothers, Cloud 9 esports, and AMC, and we hit a peak viewership of over 10,000 ccv’s.

Years ago, we got to work with Joe Fielder and the team from Day for Night games to create the Kickstarter campaign for their groundbreaking game, THE BLACK GLOVE.
Because this was a game in development, we got to work directly with in game assets and vocal performances by Fryda Wolffe and Yuri Lowenthal (pictured). It was an absolute joy to work with this incredible team, and work with raw game assets that teased the mind blowing narrative.
Bally’s Sports Trivia (2021)

Based on the success of Arena, and for my reputation at engaging younger audiences at Twitch, I was approached by Bally’s Interactive to work with both their recently acquired Sportscaller team and with the Sinclair Broadcasting owned Bally Sports Networks RSN’s to develop a sports trivia app.
I thought to emphasize the “regional” in the RSN’s by creating a sports trivia app that was a second screen experience to regional MLB game.
